Smart Unli data throttling routers and mobile hotspots!

Yep, that settles it. Smart indeed does throttle hotspots and routers/modem. Kaya pala rineport yung tutorial at posts ko. May against pa nag-iinsist na di daw mga throttled. Probably mga corporate employees or shills yan ni Smart.


Also po, paano po ba mag spoof ttl sa router mismo? I have no idea how Linux works. I want to lower my ttl in the router to match the ISPs ttl mismo. Any tips or instructions for us total newbies? Gusto ko sana mag PM pero tinanggal din ata yung PM function sa akin.

Ang pairvpn is for hotspot pairings only, not routers. Kng gusto mo mag change TTL sa router, dapat talaga mag root access ka sa router atsaka mag SSH access or something. Yun talaga di ko alam gawin. Wala kase tutorials or vids regarding dyan. Parang nag gatekeeping ata mga techies at gadget geeks dahil ayaw nila ma proliferate ang information. Nag search na ako far and wide sa net, wala talaga. Dependent din sa routers kng pde gawin yan or hinde.

gets ko naman na gusto lang nila na di ma ρá†ch ng ISPng ang mga ganito, pero sana naman mag DM lang naman or something, or give step by step instructions sa mga newbies na katulad natin na willing naman mag learn. We all started from somewhere. Walang naging experto agad

Again, pang hotspot lang yan di sa router. Mahirap gawin sa router pero kng magawa mo na, goods na talaga connection mo.

you need ssh access sa router to change ttl. Some router may option to force ttl to your preferred value. in my case, i have OpenWRT and just used iptables to change ttl

Im currently registered to Unli1199 using smart sim and all speedtest results are using the same test server.

Same. Naka sub ako sa Smart Unli 5G using 5G router. Dati naman 150-200+ mbps speed. Ngayon naglalaro na lang sa 40mbps lagi.

I use 5ghz on phone and my router is 6ghz. Still the same thing. Kung gumagamit nmn ako ng PairVPN, nawawala ang throttling. Conclusion lang talaga nyan is the telco throttling thru hotspot and routers. There's nothing wrong on my end. Baka gumagamit ka ng router na may openwrt kaya maka pag change ka ng MAC addresses, IMEI or TTL or something. That's the only logical explanation for your speeds. Others don't have the same experience as yours, outlier talaga ang sa yo.

Anong router gamit mo sir? Gusto ko sana ma cr@ck ang sa akin pero ayaw talaga pinapahirapan kami ng seller sa alibaba at lazada. SSH access is enabled by default sa router ko, pero hanggang sa @ user ka lang makapasok. Yung @ root wala talaga

Sayang talaga, powerful router pa naman to.

stock settings lang po router ko . wala akong binago tsaka di sya openwrt firmware. ZTE stock firmware lang . stock imei at stock mac address. siguro dahil din sa location? the only problem that i had was the speedcap on google sites. e.g. YøùTùbé, playstore. at sa smart ko lang nararanasan yan. pero sa tnt ko, walang speedcap kahit anong sites.

sa rocket ata may TTL checking din pero pwede naman sya pang hotspot (sa metered data ewan ko sa unli).
yung TNT unli sim ko may nakita din ako na TTL exceeded error dati tapos PLDT yung nagrereply kahit sa mismong router ko isend yung commands (telnet/ssh).
ang ginawa ko lang talaga match yung MAC ng pc sa MAC ng router or the other way around (meron sa huawei ethernet settings clone). doon nawala ang speedcap ko dati pero need ko talaga ng hindi congested na tower para matest ko ulit. kasi speedcap talaga kahit anong band sa area ko haha.

update, kakatry ko lang sya gawing phone yung modem ko ulit. ayaw na, walang bypass.
TTLchange sa router, hostname change na din, tapos mac change, walang pinagbago sa speed.

Sa location ko 40mbs pag sa cp kasi congested sa lugar namin smart lang may signal pag modem 10-5mbs lang kaya na pa isip ako need ba ako mag upgrade ng modem na may CA baka ma sayang lang ganun parin ang speed anu need gawin? Nka hybrid atenna na pala ako sa 10-5mbs nayan..
