Smart Unli data throttling routers and mobile hotspots!

Hello mga idol, I think pinag throttle na talaga ni trams kapag nag hotspot or router ka using unli data promo. I found this out kase ganyan din ginagawa ng mga mobile data ISPs sa US. Kapag ang sim ininsert mo sa cellphone, ang bilis talaga pero kapag shinare mo yan through mobile hotspot or insert mo yung sim sa router, hihina na ang speed mo around 10% na lng sa speeds na pinagsubscribe mo. Eto ang experience ko. For starters, ang sim ko ay Rocket Sim 5G, subscribed to unli data 999.

5G Results:
5G Cellphone: 150-200 mbps
Hotspot speed: 20-30 mbps

5G cellphone: 150-200 mbps
5G router: 30-40 mbps

Sa LTE Naman:
LTE Cellphone: 30-40mbps
Hotspot: 4-5 mbps

LTE Cellphone: 30-40mbps
LTE Router (b936): 3-5 mbps

So clearly ang problema dito ay yung pag throttle ni trams sa speed, di yung mga modems/routers nyo mismo kapag nag hotspot or wifi network ka. Ang alam ko lang gawin na bypass is through hotpost. Tutorial for hotspot throttling bypass can be found here:

Pero yung sa router/modem di ko pa rin magawa. So far as of now, wala talaga akong makitang solution sa modems at routers na ginagamit para ma pair or ma bypass ang throttling. I've seen TTL Mangling, VPNs, OpenWRT, etc. pero mapiling devices lang pde nyan. Gusto ko sana universal solutions. Dapat ma trick si trams na parang ang modem/router ay cellphone lang and you can share to your heart's content and make full use of the speeds. Baka may mga tutorial kayo dyan regarding this problem? Thanks.

Just got back home. Eto speeds nung nag hotspot ako sa 5G kanina using my wife's phone to connect to my phone's hotspot.

Then eto yung speeds gamit 5G CPE modem:

Halos magkapareha lng ng speed. Sa mga experts jan, may way ba pra ma hide yung router at ma disguise na isa lang ang naka connect atsaka parang phone lang sa network? Eto lang talaga way pra mawala yang throttling na yan.

For a simple test, get your sim and insert into your cellphone. Just make sure you are in an area with full signal. Speedtest and save results. Now get your router or turn on hotspot on your phone in the same area, connect another device and then speedtest. Save results. If the results on your phone are consistently higher than your hotspot or router speed, your connection is being throttled. It's called hotspot throttling. Ginagawa yan ng mga ISPs para di ka makapag share ng connection mo at to ensure iisang device lang makinabang sa full speeds ng data plan mo.

Corporations are for profit, they're not your friends. No point trying to debate when I have consistently shown proof in this thread that trams is throttling speeds when using your router or hotspot. Yung di nila pinagthrottle na data plan ay yung Unli fam, but they're expensive for a reason.

Sobrang layo pa namin sa tower nag scan ako via cell info app. Baka sa area nyo lang yan ts. Every speed test ng connected device sa openwrt router ko same lang 30+ 10pm to 8 am peak hours 20+ lang, natest ko din 20meters away from tower pumapalo sa 60-80mbps ang gamit ko na pocket wifi ay evoluzn openlined

Ah, then that makes sense then. That makes the test faulty kase di mo makuha full unbiased speeds ng area nyo. You are using modem w/antenna vs celfone with poor reception, paano patas yan? It will give out a biased speedtest. The only way to validate this theory if smart really is using hotspot throttling is to go to an area with full signal, get speedtest, save results. Then get a portable non-smart pocket wifi, insert same sim, connect your phone to said pocket wifi, speedtest then save results. You can also hotspot your phone, get an extra phone, connect the extra phone to your hotspot phone, speedtest then save results. If cellphone speeds are higher than with your router or hotpost, then that means throttled talaga ang mga hotspot connections and routers with smart.

Post details, bro. We really need to know if nag implement talaga ng hotspot throttling si talino. Because if they do, then we need to tweak our routers take advantage of full unli data speeds. Pde din unli fam pero sobrang mahal nun.
