Been a while since I posted a poem
Why are you building and destroying
Heavy worlds in your mind
Can you hear the gentle calling
Of the dreams you couldn't find
Against the storms, you wouldn't yield
But know there is a limit to your shield
Your past is the one that you wield and,
Your past may never be healed but,
You're here now, in the present now,
Not everything has to be a foul
A little kindness, why wouldn't you allow
Let it be, you don't need a cowl
Why are you building and destroying
Heavy worlds in your mind
Can you hear the gentle calling
Of the dreams you couldn't find
Against the storms, you wouldn't yield
But know there is a limit to your shield
Your past is the one that you wield and,
Your past may never be healed but,
You're here now, in the present now,
Not everything has to be a foul
A little kindness, why wouldn't you allow
Let it be, you don't need a cowl
