The creation myth is one of the oldest literature known to man, and one also very well known. Both believers and non-believers have lost the rational purpose of this story, which we will try to extract right now.

The story is best viewed as a psychological writing, mostly tackling the nature of a human being in contrast to other living beings on earth. While it is not as complex as current day psychological literature, I would bet it will conquer some interests.

POWER OF WORDS AND CREATED FROM 'HIS' IMAGE

Even to an untrained observer, the ability to speak is a good distinguising trait of a human. Not only by our mouths, but also by our minds.

The first chapter of the Bible talks about God using His words to create everything. Spoiler alert: God created us after his image, so we have this power too (though not that exagerrated). We human has built civilizations, armies and studies that govern how we live today. All is that is done by our ability to communicate complex ideas.

Internal (self) communication has also helped us to certain power most people don't realize. We can talk to ourself. We can reflect and identify what we did right or wrong to move forward in life. If harnessed properly, through meditation, we can even alter the way we see the world, and alter are whole personality. Essentially creating a new being out of thin air!

Trivia: not all people are capable of self-talk. Some, though rare, are incapable of doing so at all. And if the mind is affected by illnesses like schizophrenia, the mind is tricked that this internal voice something or someone other than itself!

THE BLISS OF IGNORANCE AND THE KNOWLEDGE THAT DESTROYED IT

Here it is pictured to the reader how blissfull it is to be in ignorance. You can do what you want with no repercussion. Everything is beautiful and full of wonder. Ignorance is an enclosed garden, the "Garden of Eden".

If you imagine your childhood, like most people, this is essentially how it feels. All your needs are covered, healthy food, warm shelter. You are born năked and do not care to be năked as a child. You do things that.seem wrong when done by an ãdül†, but, you do things with no malice, so you're fine.

But your insatiable curiosity will slowly but surely gain you knowledge. As this knowledge builds up, more and more you are expected to be responsible of your actions. And this curiosity is magnified just because of the fact that as children, we also lack freedom, or "free-will", in other words.

It's not that knowledge is a sin. It's that when you gain knowledge, you cannot act as a child anymore. You can't remain in Eden.

KNOWLEDGE, SHAME, AND FREEWILL

Children are has always been fascinated with grown-ups, to a point that they just cant wait to be one. Adam and Eve's hunger of knowledge must have beem the same. But once knowledge is consumed, it can never be spat back out. Unfortunately, knowledge comes with a burden. A burden the serpent did not disclose.

Once knowledgeable, you learn to judge others, and realize that you can be judged the same. That is why we wear "clothes" both figuratively and literally. We cannot be as transparent as children anymore, because knowing the true us can be used against us. We keep our mistakes a secret, just like how Eve did not admit to eating the fruit, while simultaneously covering herself up.

Not to mention, our high memory capability, which allows us to retain all the knowledge, but with it the burden of negative memories.

Once knowledgeable you are expected to be banished from your parents and live on your own. (Luckily, educational system nowadays is extended to early 20's. Imagine having to leave your parents as soon early teens after your first sëxual experience, as they did during the time of the bible's author). You will have to create your own destiny outside of your parents' shadow.

On the plus side, you will have your own free-will. Free-will which is both a blessing and a curse. You have the power to make choices on your own, but when you make mistakes, the blame is on you.

Now, think about it, though this story is not reality as the beginning of us as a species, it rings true to each of our realities in life on our beginnings.

This article is still subject for future edits. But anyway, like always,
Thank you for reading
