"An outage by one of our international submarine cables may be causing service interruptions," the advisory read on Thursday on the PLDT Cares Facebook page.

PLDT did not specify which submarine cable was hit, as of posting time, but had said that its partners are "already working" to fix the problem.

In addition, PLDT on Thursday acknowledged that customers are having issues with their Messenger chat.

"Customers may have issues chatting with us on Facebook Messenger. Our technical team is working on it with Facebook," PLDT wrote.

PLDT customers can track their repair and installation status through the PLDT's pldthome.com website.

Baka related din ito since Singtel ang nabanggit sa advisory ni PLDT tungkol sa APCN2:

"SINGAPORE – Singtel users have experienced a slowdown in network speeds when connecting to websites and servers in the United States after a few submarine cables got damaged in February.
In response to queries, a Singtel spokesman on Tuesday said the cables were damaged in the course of fishing-related activities, and seabed movements caused by earthquakes.
Cables had to be shut down for repairs and that, too, affected some of the cables, she added."

FROM DIGITAL OCEAN WEBSITE:

"Our Engineering team continues to monitor the ongoing issue with multiple subsea fiber faults in the APAC region. We have experienced multiple periods of packet loss and increased latency and expect to continue to see those until the issue is resolved upstream. Our team will continue observing performance and making traffic routing changes where applicable/available to work around the congestion.
While we have no ETA for the faults being restored, we will communicate updates as we have them. If you have questions or concerns about impacted services from this incident, we ask that you open a Support ticket from within your account. Thank you!"

it is because you are speed testing the nearest server, simulate mo yung server ni YøùTùbé, select a test server far from you para makakuha ka ng true reading
