Netcat (often abbreviated to nc) is a computer networking utility for reading from and writing to network connections using TCP or UDP.
Netcat is designed to be a dependable back-end that can be used directly or easily driven by other programs and scripts.
At the same time, it is a feature-rich network debugging and investigation tool, since it can produce almost any kind of connection its user could need and has a number of built-in capabilities.
Its list of features includes port scanning, transferring files, and port listening, and it can be used as a backdoor.
Ang Netcat po ay sobrang makapangyarihan kung iisipin. Marami po siyang functions. At marami po kayong pwedeng gawin with this tool.
Ito rin po ay ginagamit ng mga Defacers para i-Root ang Server para i-mass deface nila ang ibang mga websites na nakapaloob sa Server na iyon. Back Connect kung tawagin, at kaugnay rin po ito sa port listening.
Pwede rin po siyang gamitin for Transferring Files from one computer to another computer/server.
Pwede rin siyang Port Scanner para malaman kung ano ang mga open ports ng isang host.
Parang Nmap.
Ang masaya pa rito. Pwede siyang gamitin bilang backdoor. Ang backdoor ay isang method kung saan mababypass mo ang normal authentication sa isang computer/server. Ito po ay dapat alam ng mga penetration testers/häçkers and even mga I.T . Ito po ay kabilang sa mga Threats. Pwede po siyang nakapaloob sa isang Software, Script or even mga text files, basta mga files. HAHA.
