The first question was asking the wrong people. Atheists are only experts in not believing in gods.
It could try to ask astronomers and astrophysicists, who would tell us that so far, we can count at least a dozen moons in the solar system covered in or made entirely of water – some of them in liquid state. For instance, Jupiter’s moon Europa has a liquid ocean covering the entire moon under that thick ice layer. They would also tell you that we know of several exoplanets completely covered in water. In addition, the planet Mars also has polar icecaps made of water ice.
And finally, they would tell us that there is not enough water on Earth to cover the planet.
And that also gives us the answer to the second question: Doesn't it prove Noah's flood? No.
What do you think?A fairly quick calculation shows that for the Earth to be covered with water as described in Genesis 7:19–20 — “They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits” — some 3.5 times the total amount of water on Earth; seas, lakes, aquifers, and rivers, would have been required.
