Madugong gamitin (at maraming issues) yang lumang cs 1.3 half-life engine sa ngayon kaya tamang timpla yan sa kung anong setting ang pasok sa bawat graphic card driver+monitor na gagamitin natin. Generally, yung paggamit ng "-nofbo -nomsaa " sa launch options ay kalimitang fix dyan assuming ok ang drivers sa pc especially kung opengl ang gamit or just playing with "d3d" option kung sakaling di gumagana ng maayos ang opengl sa windows pc ninyo related sa visual styles/personalization (aero themes) - as example. Maraming cases na ganyan kahit sa mas bagong mga builds/betas ng cs 1.6. Just google similar cases sa net and use "trial and error".

Ang dagdag ko rito to play CS 1.3 smoothly sa modern pc (as client or server) is just use Xash3D-FWGS. Ito yung norm ngayon para bukas ang maraming features nya as well as optimizing play rather than use the old half-life WON engine. Kunin ninyo yung cstrike at valve folder at ipatong sa Xash3D-FWGS folder and play. Tingnan ko lang kung umangal pa kayo.
Yung second option is, use it on Steam. Meron cs 1.3 steam mod version nyan na ipapatong ninyo sa Steam half-life (WON) folder. Patched version yan to work on Steam easily. Kunin ninyo installer ng mod na yan sa lonebullet or kung meron pang naiwan sa gamefront archive. CS 1.3 WON version does not need Steam system since wala pa noon yung service ng nilabas yan. Half-life WON engine lang ang kailangan to run CS 1.3 mod which is available sa net nowadays.

Lods complicated sa directory name, gawa ka na lng po ng "sierra" folder s drive c then imove mo po ung half-life n folder dyan then tsaka po kyo gumawa ng shortcut 100% sure mag work n yan

Pag ganyan ang error, di makita ng launcher yung hl.exe sa directory na target mo. Imposibleng mangyari unless nasa ibang folder yung hl.exe.
Di mo ba sinubukang direktang paandarin na lang yung hl.exe at doon mo na lang i-select yung CS. Yan naman yung normal na ginagawa noon. Yung shortcut, para lang meron kang mapindot sa desktop or magdagdag ng commands.

Lumang HL game engine yang gamit ng CS 1.3 at Visual Studio 6 build na nagsimual noong 1998. Pre-Steam o kaya Steamless/WON/WON2 yan, depende sa version na gamit ninyo. XP compatible yan pre-valve half-life kaya nakukuha na lang sa compatibility mode at running with admin rights above XP. Sa compatibility mode, iba yung reaction ng UAC ng mga bagong OS sa lumang HL builds kaya iniiwasan mag-install sa Program Files.
Pag-aralan nyo rin yung paggamit ng commands ng half-life para alam nyo yung purpose ng first post:

Sa black screen, ang alam ko lang fix ay adding -nofbo to disable the new rendering method. Depende yan sa gamit na monitor/LCD at drivers.
Pag gagamit kayo ng -nofbo (old rendering method), best is use any of the following sa inyong launcher and test:

• -noforcemparms -noforcemspd -noforcemaccel -nofbo -freq <refreshrate>
• -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -nofbo -freq <refreshrate>
• -noforcemparms -nofbo -freq <refreshrate>

(replace <refreshrate> with the frequency used by your monitor)
Sa OPENGL muna kayo mag-test at stable yan dyan. Sa D3D, mapili yan sa graphic card kaya best is install the DirectX 9.0c to test compatibility kung sakali.

try nyo po imove ung main folder nyo sa c:\sierra or create sierra folder kung wla ka po, yan lang talaga pinaka effective step for you to create a working shortcut ng counter-strike mo lods
