Hello! It's great to hear that you have already selected a capstone project for this semester.

In terms of devices for controlling your centralized control system, you may want to consider using a Direct Digital Control (DDC) system. DDC systems are highly efficient and reliable, making them popular in building automation and energy management applications. They can also be used to automate and monitor electrical systems in buildings.

As for affordable DDC systems available in the market, you can try researching on manufacturers such as Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, and Schneider Electric. They offer a wide range of DDC products and solutions that may fit your budget and requirements.

In terms of programming languages, it would depend on the type of DDC system you will be using. Some DDC systems have their own proprietary programming languages, while others use open standards such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks. You may want to consult with your professor or do further research on the specific DDC system you will be using to determine the appropriate programming language.

In terms of what needs to be done, you will need to design and implement the centralized control system using the DDC system and the programming language. You will also need to test and validate the system to ensure that it meets the requirements and specifications.

I hope this information helps! Good luck with your capstone project!
