I have witnessed the seasons change
Watched the seared ground become drenched
Felt my body weaken as i age
Sequestered and forgotten inside this cage

The agony, the pain, the sadness
The name, the wealth, the madness
The pride, the thirst, the greediness
All those times have turned me clueless

Clueless, that i have woven my own cage,
A prison that might bring nothing but demise,
Demise to my beloved freedom,
Now captured and abandoned.

This cage is suffocating
I can hear the clock slowly ticking
Seems it's giving its final warning
Freedom, for you i'd trade anything

Trapped by my own petty desires
Desires from which this cage is made
Freedom! grant me freedom from these desires
For i'll change my ways and fly away
