Psalms 103:11 (KJV) For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
How high are the heavens? We measure the distance of stars in light-years, distances far too great for us to travel. Our sin places righteousness out of our reach, at an impossibly far distance. But just as God has brought the light of unreachable stars to our eyes, His mercy toward us spans the impossible distance to bring righteousness to our lives.
Lord, thank You for Your great and unending mercy. Without You, I am lost in my sin and helpless to reach You. But You have bridged the vast chasm and, by You mercy, brought me to Yourself. For that, I praise You and worship You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
