The paste is similar in its chemical composition to natural enamel, and it can be placed directly on the damaged areas of one’s teeth. The substance was derived from experiments using hydroxyapatite, which is the main material from which our teeth are made.
First, the acid contained within the paste dissolves the surface of the *****ed enamel very slightly. The paste then crystallises and integrates into the structure of the tooth’s natural enamel. It also works well in combating bacteria.
Experiments have shown that teeth which have been treated with the new paste are identical to healthy teeth — no differences are visible even under a microscope.
