but if they spend those money making earth more habitable and make more alternatives than natural resources ,
then they wouldnt be needing to make this attempt of making other planet more livable at the first place.

Well ibabalik ko sayo. Need more research for that and more money needed for that, yan ang trabaho ng scientist here on earth and astronauts there in ISS.
And one more thing, possible hindi lang naman colonization ang gawin sa other planets, pwede rin mag harvest ng resources which we are lacking here, TO MAKE PLANET EARTH MORE HABITABLE.

well if you think only about yourself and the human race in your life time, ganyan talaga mindset mo. pero if you look at the bigger picture, they are actually a big part of the advancement of our race. heck kung walang astronauts tingin parin ng mga tao sa mundo ay flat. also, kahit ano namang gawin ng bilyon na pera nila to lets say preserve the earth eh hindi naman nila magagawa yun as long as dumadami population at nag aadvance tayo (tech and stuff) since para magawa yun ay kailangang mag consume ng resources.
