Help Urgent! 1 Ram slot keeps malfunctioning.

Good day ka PHC!

may PC po ako with 2 ram slots.
im using 2 x 8 gb para maka play ng latest games. then lately nag loloko yung isang slot so na no choice ako permanently not use ang 2nd slot kasi may time na nag k-cause sya ng boot loop at blue screen.

Ask ko lang po saan ang issue nito kasi i cant play valo and higher games smoothly ng 8gb only ang ram.

Thank you for the fast response. I did the basic troubleshooting already with the ram. if it is really the slot, I might need to get new MoBo or a single stick 16gb ram. but will wait as no budget at the moment.

Pwede din po yung mismong RAM stick yung problem not the slot
Try nyo po ilagay yung 2nd slot RAM sa 1st slot
Then yung 1st slot RAM naman is wag nyo muna ilagay
If nag bluescreen then possible na yung stick yung prob
Pero kapag walang issue then the slot itself nga yung prob
Visual check nyo po baka may mga nasingit sa pins

tbh maski kumuha ka ng 16gb sa 1 stick parehas lang magiging performance mo sa 8gb j
kaya mas smooth yung system mo pag 2 stick kase naka dual channel ka
hindi kase yung laki ng ram yung ng papagal sa 1 stick
ng papabagal sakanya is yung data way nya
1 stick is 1 way so kylagan mg intay ng system mo kase isa lang daanan nya sa outgoing and ingoing pag ganyan mg kaka stutter ka (ito yung biglang mg stostop yung laro bigla kase lumagapak yung frame per sec)

if 100% sure ka na yung dram channel sira then no choice ka na switch mobo

pero di lang kase pede mobo yung my sira pag ganyan
super rare nga na yung mobo yung sira

pede yung ram mismo yung sira (ito pinaka madalas na my sira)
pede yung cpu mismo my sira sa memory lane controller nya (sadly ito 2nd na madalas na my sira specially sa mga ryzens pinaka masaklap na sira kase palit cpu na agad unless gusto mo mg tiis ng 1 channel lang)

Na try ko na pag palitin ang ram. di po gumana agad. pero working both sa 1st slot. iipon po ako budget pang mobo ngayun ....

di ko gets bat need ng upgrade ng ram for games common mistake natin if lag games natin sa ram sini sisi minsan kasi di kaya ng processor or walang dedicated graphics card ang pc mas mainam kung meron kasi meron na yung dedeicated memory for games, di ba di naman i fufull use ng isang game like valo ang 16 gb ram mo dahil for processes lang yun pang multitask ang mas mainam na upgarde kung gaming ay ang graphics card.

kung nag blue screen or biglang nag reboot. try mo din e update ung mga drivers. try mo din memory diagnostic or flash ka memtest86 para makita if may error tagala sa RAM.
