Alam nyo ba pwede kayo mag download ng books, Manga and movies for FREE and Direct download through IRC?

Ito yung second ultimate source ko ng ebooks. If may audiobooks sana it would be first. Medyo techie nga lang ang pag setup.

This method works for mIRC. If you're a linux user like me, halos walang setup na gagawin for Pidgin. Ito yung latest files to date na naka upload sa iba-ibang channels:



Sobrang daming files ang na uupload every day. Almost every few seconds gumagalaw ang channels as they update and all servers sa iba ibang sites for files uploaded by bots.

If 90's kid ka or older, then familiar na sayo ang IRC channels. Ito yung type of files ma dodownload nyo dito:

• Ebooks
• Movies
• Manga and other Comics
• Software
• Music
• Games

But for this post, focus lang tayo sa Ebooks. Halos lahat ng books nandito! Except for localized books and textbooks.

Anyway, I'm here to spread the awareness. Ito yung mas detailed na tutorial from another site on how you can setup your DCC in mIRC:

Spoiler contents are visible only to Established Members.

Once na configure mo na lahat, here's a channel I recommend:

#books
server: irc.undernet.org

#ebooks
server: irc.irchighway.net

to search for files, check mo yung instructions pag pasok mo sa isang channel. Iba-iba ang instructions for every channel. For some channels bawal ang "find".

For example:

@ find a walk to remember

So typical replies matatanggap mo from bots will contain the filenames. Copy and paste the filename to the channel. For example:

!phoomphy Sparks, Nicholas - A Walk to Remember (1998, 1999).epub ::INFO:: 163.43 KiB
Paste this to #ebooks

Once na paste mo na madodownload na ang file or sasabihan ka ng channel na nasa queue ka. Depende yun sa channel if may queueing sila, kalimitan naman direct.

Madami pang channels and servers out there. It's for you to explore, pero itong dalawa ang recommended ko na channels.

Pang Windows user yan boss, na mention ko lang ang Pidgin for linux. If linux wala nang kailangang setup. So yung buong tutorial na yan pang Windows. Di naman kasi ginagamit ang mIRC sa linux.

Is the setup for android included sa spoiler? sensya, bulag rin ako, so.. just in case, i'll suggest 2 apps for android users:
1) Termux app with weechat installed (it's command line so, you need to configure a bit) and;
2) AndroIRC (it's no longer updated but it supports DCC and it's user friendly)

Thanks nito boss, di ako sure if AndroIRC supports XDCC talaga. Na try ko mag request once pero hindi nag d.download ang file.

it does. I encountered the same problem before sa AndroIRC pero konting change sa download settings lng yung issue. just set it to autodownload and ok na. and it still works, before posting those suggestions, ng install ako ulit ng AndroIRC and nag download pa ako ng mga books jst to check.
