Mark 7:18 (NLT)

Food doesn't go into your heart, but only passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer." (By saying this, he declared that every kind of food is acceptable in God's eyes.)

Matthew 15:18 (NLT)
-------

But the words you speak come from the heart—that's what defiles you.

So anong response mo dyan?

We are now under the new testament the Iglesia that Jesus made. Old testament is not for new christians but for only old and israel's family b4.

Pero i'll stay on topic.

If you just know the missions we have been doing , the programs weve been promoting. But I dont need to classify them.

In Genesis 3 we read the account of the first temptation of Adam and Eve by Satan.1 The strategy of the devil was successful and led to our first parents’ disregard of God’s Word to them and their rebellion against God Himself.

As Christians, we know God calls us to honor Him with our bodies (1 Cor. 6:20). The health of our physical bodies is tied to our emotional, mental, and spiritual health. We are not simply a collection of parts that operate independently, we are an entire self that is interdependent.

Pork meat and pork fat contribute to the spread of cancers of the colon, rectum, prostate and blood.
Pork meat and pork fat contribute to obesity and related diseases that are difficult to treat. The doctors have confirmed that tapeworm disease is regarded as one of the serious diseases that may result from eating pork. And eating pork leads death to many

Romans 14:2-3
(2) For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
(3) Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

It’s important to remember that when he says "weak" he is not speaking about sick people, for verse 1 told us these are people who are weak "in the faith."

Now verse 2 tells us that those Christians weak in the faith who were found among the Romans Christians believed they should eat only herbs. In verse three he tells the Romans Christians not to judge him, for God "hath received him."

Paul is not attacking biblical practices. Some of the recipients of this letter apparently believed that one should abstain from eating meat and drinking wine (Rom. 14:2, 21). The Old Testament does not require total abstinence from animal flesh, but only of the flesh of some animals (Lev. 11). Neither does the Old Testament consider grape juice unclean; only the high priest and the Nazarite are forbidden to drink it. The discussion is not over unclean (Greek, akáthartos) food, but over food that is considered common (koinós, the term used in verse 14) and therefore not proper for consumption under certain circumstances.

Read the whole chapter. This context is very important to keep in mind, for with this we will learn what Paul means when he speaks about "days."

To God be the glory!

Baked scallops karumdumal ba kasi walang palikpik at kaliskis?

Hi Jerriku.

Scallops are clams , right?

Hi Skye0814 !
verse 18 and verse 11 are similar ,Yes? So, what does it mean?

Matthew 15:11:
"Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man."

By simply reading the whole chapter, one will notice that these verses are more about eating with unwashed hands then on just eating. Jesus’ final words on the subject make this clear:

"These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man." -Matthew 15:20.

When Jesus voiced verse 11, he was speaking about the "heart" –verse 18-19. Jesus explains how from the heart come, among other sins, evil thoughts. If a person, for example, teaches that it’s okay to eat pork when the bible says not to (Leviticus 11:7; Isaiah 66:17), this is contrary to God’s scriptures and is therefore an "evil thought" proceeding from his heart. Such a person will fall into the category of the people that Jesus was speaking about.

Conclusion: The issue here is not on eating, but on eating with unwashed hands. Jesus did not teach with verse 11 that it is ok to eat meat or pork, neither did he teach that it's ok to eat with unwashed hands, for Jesus wouldn't teach such a thing. What if the person eating with unwashed hands just finished handling a dead animal of some kind? Such a person could contract a fatal illness, and we can place the blame on Jesus’ words. On the contrary, Jesus was all for cleanliness. Jesus was a Jew, and cleanliness was a part of Jewish law. Jesus rather taught with these words to focus more upon the matters of the heart, which of course are of far greater importance.

Be blessed!
