1. inputting SS account via GUI using "Edit Servers" option - hands-on na lang ng user ito para madali
2. editing gui-config.json file - yan yung lalabas na config file format after inputting server, server port, password and encryption method sa gui ...di ko alam sa android ang tag nyan! Oldschool kasi ako he he.
3. kung ang shared naman ay QR code (yung parang B&W box), just highlight it on screen and use the "Scan QR code from screen" option sa GUI. Parang Mission Impossible style he he. kusang papasok na yung setting sa GUI nyo. subukan nyo yan sa link ni klasmeyt FerdZ, you'll be surprised he he! iwas pagod!
...Ang mga regular users ng shadowsocks ay dapat alam ang iba pang formats like these 2 (see guide):
BASE64 encoded URI format:
ss://BASE64-ENCODED-STRING-WITHOUT-PADDING#TAG
plain URI format:

(maraming gamit mga yan, especially sa other SS softwares or GUIs that use them, or even for sharing settings!)

Sa Chinese kasi nag-umpisa yan he he dahil kay cloudywindy - yung developer ng SS (original). Anti-censorship tool yan ng mga Chinese, panlaban nila sa GFW (ng gobyerno nila). Kaya kalimitan ng talks at sharing ng SS comes from the Chinese, though yung ibang bansa rin ay ginagamit yan sa kanilang ibang purpose just like SSH, VPN and the like. Tayo, iba ang purpose kung papalarin he he.

Makikita nyo itong QR code na png file sa baba.

Kung gamit nyo yung SS GUI sa windows, right-click nyo sa taskbar yung icon ni SS, then click Servers/Scan QRCode from Screen, at automatic na ma-detect nya yan at pasok na yung settings nya. I'm sure sa android o kung anong platform nyong gamit ang SS ay may option to do this. Kahit itong page na ito ay pwede nyong gamitin dahil naka-highlight na yung QR code pic. Di nyo na kailangang i-translate pa yung chinese page kung yan lang ang hanap nyo. Kung python ang gamit nyo via cli, may ibang procedure, pero same result din ang lalabas. Nasa wiki section ng SS sa github yung guide via link sa first page. I just takes practice to do it right. Just a tip mga bosing.

Salamat sa share, i think the difference between shadowsocks and postern is, postern can be configured to having multiple servers in one configuration, while shadowsock has only one per profile, you have to create differents profiles to switch between servers.

Kasi un shadowsocks is intended for chinese talaga kung di nyo alam madami ban sites o sadya ang chinese gov't eh mahigpet sa pgregulate ng kanila webpage content iba culture nila compare sa iba at sa china need nila vpn para makapagFB manlang haha
