Reverse Charging: An Alternative to Power Bank

Does your power bank runs out of power? Don't worry, there's an alternative to power bank, and this the reverse charging. What Is Reverse Charging? Reverse Charging is the feature which allows your smartphone to be used as a power source or a power bank to charge your other devices. Isn't it great? To make it easy to understand, here's an example. you have two phones, one is 80% charged and another is 30%, with Reverse Charging you can charge your phone by using another one which is 80% charged.

You can use this feature in emergency, or while traveling and you don't have a Power bank to charge your phone. Smartphones or tablets with OTG (On-The-Go) Support can do this reverse charging technique. Some of the tested phone models are Asus Zenfone Max, Mi Max, Redmi and many others.

How To Do Reverse Charging?
Just follow the simple tutorial below to do reverse charging.

Requirements:
Charged phone
Discharged phone
USB Cable
OTG (On The Go) Cable

Procedure:
1. Connect the OTG cable into the phone with charge.
2. Connect the USB cable into the OTG port.
3. Now connect the USB charger into the Phone to be charged.

Note: The flow of current will stop with the same concentration on both phones, or charging will stop when both of the phones have same charge.

How It Works :

Current flows due to a difference in voltage, so the charging battery would have to have a higher voltage than the battery to be charged. As batteries discharge, their voltage drops, while the voltage of a battery rises while it is charged. So as the one battery discharges into the other, the voltages would become closer together, reducing the charging current, it stops charging when the voltage becomes same on both the smartphones. The voltage also varies depending on how much current is flowing.

Nonsense para saakin.. Kasi ang phone na otg capable is may current na limit lang then king kaya man i charge yung isang phone hinde kakayanin nung device na gagamiting mong power bank! Bakit? Kase yung battery nung device mo is hinde designed para sa ganun! SKL...
