Psalms 51:7 (KJV) Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Sometimes it’s hard to confess our sins. We hope that if we ignore them long enough, they will go away on their own. But sin doesn’t fade, and we can’t remove it ourselves. So God calls us to confess and repent. It’s uncomfortable, but when we submit to His cleansing power, we are made clean and blameless by His grace.

Lord, You know my heart. You know my sins. Nothing is hidden from You. I confess with my mouth the ways that I have disobeyed You and strayed from You. Lord, I long to be clean, but I cannot do it on my own. Please was me in Your blood, so that I can be made blameless in Your sight, pure and white as snow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
