BIBLE PROPHECIES THAT CAME TO LIFE (PART 1)
HAPPY SABBATH!!!
Daniel 2:1-45 (written on 6 Century BCE).
Background : King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream. In his dream he saw a huge statue.
Its HEAD made of GOLD,
CHEST & ARM made of SILVER,
WAIST & HIPS made of BRONZE,
LEGS made of IRON,
FEET made of PARTLY IRON & PARTLY CLAY.
Then a ROCK fell and It hit the feet which caused the destruction of the whole Statue. Then that ROCK became a MOUNTAIN that covered the WHOLE EARTH.
Meaning: Prophet Daniel explain that dream with God's help. It is about the GOVERNING RULERS OF THIS WORLD and WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THEM!
HEAD - GOLD -
BABYLON - 605 BC to 539 BC
(The first nation to rule. The richest and most powerful of all. Gold became very common in their era.)
They were replaced by:
CHEST & ARMS - SILVER -
MEDO/PERSIA - 539 BC to 331 BC
(Notice that in that dream he saw a chest and 2 arms, there was 2 forces that dethroned Babylon, which ARE MEDES & PERSIA. Their currency is SILVER. Second to the largest but not as powerful as Babylon.)
They were replaced by:
WAIST & HIPS - BRONZE -
GREECE - 331 BC to 168 BC
(During their time, Bronze metal became very common that MOST of their item was made of it. Even their warrior suit.)
They were replaced by:
LEGS - IRON -
ROME - 168 BC to 476 AD
(Rome's nickname is IRON AGE OF ROME.)
Which became:
FEET - PARTLY IRON & PARTLY CLAY -
DIVIDED KINGDOM OF ROME - 476 AD til PRESENT
(Notice that ROME has 10 kingdoms = 10 fingers on both foot of statue. The rulers tried to "REUNITE" the whole nation with intermarriage but failed JUST AS Prophet Daniel said on Daniel 2:43 "And in that you saw the iron mixed with common clay, they will combine with one another in the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery."
And THAT ROCK THAT WILL DESTROY THE STATUE is LORD JESUS CHRIST! And as the Bible prophesied, CHRIST BECAME THE BIGGEST PERSON EVER IN WHOLE HUMANITY'S EXISTENCE!
