ILOILO City, Philippines: *******ed human body parts were discovered in two different areas in Iloilo City on Monday morning, November 6.
A severed human hand was found by a farmer along the roadside at Zone 2, Barangay Ticud, La Paz, Iloilo, around 5 a.m.
The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) and Scene of Crime Operations (SOCO) officers reported that the hand, which had no identifying tattoos, jewelry, or rings, was determined to be male.
Shortly afterward, authorities received a report of dismembered body parts found inside a blue sack in Zone 1, Barangay Buhang, Jaro district.
The police said the sack did not contain the head and the hands. The police also noted that the victim was wearing briefs and bore at least six stab wounds on the left side of the chest.
A note was left on a piece of cardboard that read: "Ibalik ang kamay na bakal. Babala sa mga pusher (Bring back the iron fist. Warning to all pushers)" along with "PDU 30" and a corresponding signature.
Additionally, the note includes the phrase "Merry Christmas 2023."
Police authorities are still working to determine if the dismembered body and the severed hands belonged to the same person. The two places where the body parts were found are 6-7 kilometers apart.
