While it may not look exactly like the WW2-era vehicle, the Wrangler Willys Edition gets some neat off-road upgrades, as well as some design cues from the classic Willys jeep.

For 2021, Jeep decided to up the ante for the Wrangler Willys by giving it a new 4x4 package. Called the Xtreme Recon Package, the SUV gets bigger off-road tires, along with a suspension lift kit for improved ground clearance.

“The new Jeep Wrangler Willys with Xtreme Recon Package gives our passionate customers another great option for straight-from-the-factory 35-inch tires. Named after the original Jeep utility vehicle, the Willys holds special meaning to the Jeep brand, and we’re excited to enhance the new Wrangler Willys with 35-inch BF Goodrich KO2 tires,” said Jim Morrison, vice president of Jeep Brand North America.

For reference, the standard Willys already comes with 32-inch Firestone mud-terrain tires, but the Xtreme Recon Package turns it up with chunkier 35-inch Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires. These are then fitted on 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels for better off-road capability.

Complementing the large tires is a 1.5-inch factory suspension lift with upgraded shock absorbers. The result is a total ground clearance of 327mm, and an improved water wading capability of over 850mm for the Wrangler Willys with the Xtreme Recon Package.

Aside from new chassis upgrades, this particular Wrangler Willys still gets the features that come on the standard model. These include the gloss black grille and roof rails, LED headlights/foglights, heavy-duty brakes, a two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, and a limited-slip rear differential.

The prices for the special edition Wrangler start at USD 39,495 (about PHP 2.009 million) and is solely available as the four-door Unlimited. Meanwhile, engine choices available for the Wrangler Willys include a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 and a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four. An eight-speed automatic gearbox and a six-speed manual transmission are available to choose from.

If you're looking at getting the most out of your Jeep Wrangler (and look good while doing it), the Jeep Wrangler Willys with Xtreme Recon Package can do both. Hopefully, Jeep Philippines can accept special orders for this particular Wrangler.
