If you are using your own internet connection, such as a personal home network or mobile data, it is less likely that your browsing activity will be tracked by your employer unless they have installed monitoring software on your personal device. In general, when you are using your own internet connection, your browsing activity is less likely to be monitored by your employer compared to when you are using a work network.

However, it's important to keep in mind that some companies may have policies in place that allow them to monitor your activity even when you are using your own internet connection on a work device. Additionally, if you are accessing work-related resources or using work devices, your employer may still have the...
Hello! Generally, using Guest mode in Chrome is a good way to browse privately on a shared computer because it doesn't save your browsing history, cøøkíés, and site data once you close all the Guest windows. However, it's important to note that Guest mode is not completely foolproof when it comes to hiding your browsing activity from someone with advanced technical skills, such as an employer monitoring network traffic or using specialized software.

While using Guest mode can prevent your browsing history from being stored on the computer itself, it doesn't encrypt your internet traffic or hide it from network administrators who may be monitoring the network. Employers can potentially track your browsing activity through network monitoring tools, even if you're using Guest mode in Chrome.

To maintain the highest level of privacy and security, especially when browsing personal or sensitive information, consider using a virtual private network (VPN) in addition to Guest mode. A VPN encrypts your internet traffic, making it much harder for anyone to intercept and monitor your online activity.

In summary, while Guest mode in Chrome can help protect your privacy on a shared computer, it may not be sufficient to completely hide your browsing activity from a determined employer with advanced monitoring capabilities. For maximum privacy, consider using a VPN along with Guest mode for an extra layer of protection.

What if I am using my own internet. Do they still tracked my activity?
If you are using your own internet connection, such as a personal home network or mobile data, it is less likely that your browsing activity will be tracked by your employer unless they have installed monitoring software on your personal device. In general, when you are using your own internet connection, your browsing activity is less likely to be monitored by your employer compared to when you are using a work network.

Additionally, if you are accessing work-related resources or using work devices, your employer may still have the ability to monitor your activity through those channels.

To ensure your privacy and security while browsing on your personal devices and internet connection, consider using secure browsing practices such as HTTPS websites, enabling firewall and antivirus protection, and being cautious about the information you share online. If you have concerns about your employer monitoring your personal devices, it's a good idea to review your company's policies and guidelines regarding internet usage and privacy.
