He told the Filipino people to listen to the doctors & to the Secretary of Health because he doesn't know anything about this pandemic. Yet, he never gave the DOH Secretary a chance to speak. What is their plan to mass test people (which is the pinaka importanteng bagay to fight the virus)?

He just appears with 2 military guys in his back like a good fascist ruler... threatening people who don't obey to be arrested... Is it martial law??

We need a MEDICAL solution mot a military one!

Some clarification about the "lockdown" of MM... (maybe clarification because with this government nothing is sure!)
So, DTI Sec Mon Lopez clarified Metro Manila “lockdown” in a text message:
1. Stores resto factories offices banks open
2. Just on flexible working arrangements
3. Cargoes food & non-food. ok to move
4. Workers can move in & out
5. Intl travel, ok. requirements to be stated in IRR

As usual, an unclear announcement of a lockdown that isn't a lockdown. Workers can still go to and fro. Supplies can still be received.

The way I see it, the only difference will be the military presence. Oh, and a lack of plan for handling the health situation during the lockdown.

You are not a world-renowned celebrity, you are not even elected to represent the govt and the people. What the president said was an immediate countermeasure to combat a pandemic and it is the first time in modern history to experience these (unless you are born and experienced the Spanish Flu in 1900.) Implementing this emergency will likely to get setbacks until it can fit enough to the public. You're telling us that he has not the right to scare us? What a bunch of nonsense you are talking about!? NCOVI is already a pandemic, can easily spread and lethal to elders or those people with weakened immune systems. You need a medical solution right? With what? We already know we are not capable to do that since we are lacking in high-end equipment but we have scientists but not trained enough to be called world-famous experts. We only have a bunch of useless party-list representatives and politicians who are busy conducting their own conferences for media exposure and pinpointing who should they blame in this crisis. We need the military and you should be glad because you are not called to the frontlines, even first world countries use the armed forces because some millennials and generation z are brainwashed by biased media and wolves on sheep's clothing terrorists through the years. A thousand people have a thousand brains and a thousand mouths. You will never make everyone be satisfied with you, even the president. These things are all insignificant, just make sure we live our best life.

Whether it was in academia, politics or in the industry, once a person reached the status of a celebrity, then their name was no longer just a name. Compared to President Duterte's contributions to society, people would always be keener to report on minor things.
