A few weeks ago, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced that You do not have permission to view the full content of this post.

However, this convenience might be taken advantage of by fixers or those looking to bypass the test entirely. To combat this type of abuse, the LTO wishes to remind motorists planning to renew their driver's licenses to get CDE certificates from authorized sources only.
Based on the LTO's recent announcement, those that will be renewing their driver's licenses should only get their CDE certificates from any of the LTO Driver's Education Centers or through any of the LTO's accredited driving schools for free. In review, the CDE and its corresponding certification are only required when you're renewing your license at an LTO branch that already implements the provisions of Republic Act No. 10930, which includes the issuance of a 10-year valid driver's license. Do take note that only those with zero traffic violations are eligible to get a driver's license that's valid for 10 years.
So for those that have to renew their driver's licenses soon, you better make sure you pass the online CDE and print the proper certificate before heading to your nearest LTO. This goes for both that plan to get either a 10-year or 5-year valid license.
