FydeOS is a lightning-fast, rock-solid, and always-ready operating system. It’s based on the Chromium OS and comes with a minimalist design throughout with an intuitive user interface. FydeOS boots up in seconds from cold, even with entry-grade hardware. It’s bundled with built-in virus protection and encryption by default, keeping your data safe.

FydeOS brings full support for Android apps to any x86-based PC. You don’t need a Chromebook or emulator for Android apps. It supports a majority of laptops and computers.

You can download FydeOS for your device from their official website. They provide different versions of FydeOS for different types of PCs, including those with legacy Intel Core processors (3rd Gen - 7th Gen), newer Intel Core processors (8th Gen - 12th Gen), and PCs with AMD or Intel processors (circa 2011 and after) and AMD Radeon discrete or integrated graphics.

FydeOS was originally named Flint OS and was officially renamed in June 2018. It’s based on the open-source projects that drive Chrome OS and Google Chrome, incorporates proprietary technology, inherits all the features of Chrome OS, adapts to more hardware categories, and is customized for Chinese students.
