CHOCOLATE YOGHURT CAKE
Recipe 1
Ingredients:
3/4 cup organic SR Flour (or gluten-free SR flour)
1/2 teaspoon bi-carb soda (use the aluminium free one)
1/2 cup raw cacao
3/4 cup rapadura sugar (if you are going to ice the cake, use 1/2 cup)
200g organic natural yoghurt
2 organic eggs – lightly beaten
1 1/2 tablespoons organic Coconut Oil
Instructions:
Line a round cake tin with baking paper. Preheat oven to 18o degrees celsius.
Sift all dry ingredients together. Mix all wet ingredients together and whisk.
Gently combine the wet and dry ingredients. Pour batter into the cake tin.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked.
Notes:
You can ice the cake with a butter icing, made of organic ingredients.
For the color, you can use squeezed grated beetroot juice.
This style of cake is seriously easy to do if you want to make a homemade birthday cake, but aren’t overly confident with decorating.
For home, you can just top it with cream and fresh fruit.
