Chakra Meditation free eBook

One of the types of meditation used by a lot of people is the chakra meditation. Chakra is derived from a Sanskrit word, which means “circle” or “vortex”. Chakras are energy centers or energy openings residing in our body that control the flow and distribution of energy. It is said that an imbalance in one of the chakras may result to problems in an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Chakra meditation is helpful in that it focuses on maintaining and restoring balance to these energy centers inside the body. In this type of meditation, individuals are introduced to the importance of interconnections of the chakras and the roles each one play in maintaining our health.

These chakras are evenly distributed inside our body and have their own functions and roles in obtaining optimal health. The seven chakras are:

1. Root Chakra.
2. Naval Chakra.
3. Solar Plexus Chakra.
4. Heart Chakra.
5. Throat Chakra.
6. Brow Chakra.
7. Crown Chakra.

When one of these chakras is threatened or out of balance, an individual’s well-being suffers. These chakras are interconnected and a disruption in the flow could lead to serious physical, mental, and emotional problems in an individual. Some of the physical issues that can manifest if one of the chakras is out of balance include fatigue, heart circulation problems, ear/nose/throat problems, sleep disorders, sexual dysfunction, stress-related conditions, and migraine. Emotional issues can also arise when the balance of chakras are compromised, which include unstable emotions, insecurity, anger, lack of motivation, and feelings of depression.
