  • Method 1: Using the Rescue Password:
    • Boot your Asus X407U while pressing F2 to enter the BIOS setup.
    • When prompted for the password, press Alt + R or Alt Gr + R to enter the "Rescue Password" mode.
    • This will display a unique code on the screen.
    • Visit the BIOSBug website You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now. and enter the code to generate a master password.
    • Use the generated master password to access your BIOS.
  • Method 2: Clearing CMOS:
    • Power off your laptop and unplug the AC adapter.
    • Remove the battery (if removable).
    • Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard (usually a small, round battery).
    • Carefully remove the CMOS battery for 30 seconds to 1 hour.
    • Reinsert the CMOS battery, reconnect the battery (if removed), and plug in the AC adapter.
    • Power on your laptop and enter the BIOS setup. The password should be reset.
