Most of the things that scientists discovered have remain entirely mysterious.

But what is interesting about science is that...

Rather than eliminate those unknowns and put them into the "God did it" basket, scientists go on working patiently at finding solutions, forever if necessary.

let me add this opinion:

Science has nothing to do with belief. No one believes in science. Science is just a way of acquiring knowledge through discovering things, observing them and finding out what they are made of and how they work. No beliefs involved — just hard work.

and this opinion as well:

God hypothesis is inherently not scientific because it is unfalsifiable. Provide an experiment that in case of failure would falsify the claim that God exists and I am sure scientists would gladly conduct it. Since you most likely can’t, science does not bother with the god hypothesis. Therefore it’s not even eliminated, it’s not even taken into account by science.
