I need a laptop to use for programs such as photoshop, illustrator, premiere, zbrush, 3ds max, unreal engine, and for programs that will be used for game development overall.

This laptop is going to be for work and not necessarily for personal use.

When I use photshop, I typically design artworks 24in x 24in in 300 ppi (roughly 8000px by 8000px). My current laptop is trash and it always says that I need more RAM in order to render my designs. Is 16gb necessary to solve this problem? or is 8gb enough?

Also, What's a good laptop for a budget of $40,000 - $70,000?

When you are doing 8000px by 8000px graphics editing for a living then YES a bigger ram is always a better choice.

Would you risk having problems or losing your job just because you skimped out?

Not to mention you already know that 8 GB ram is already causing hiccups on your system. That should be an obvious sign on what to do next?

Choose intel for your concern.
Because intel invented a cooling system that amd didn't.
And intel is for multitasking.
Why i suggested intel.
Because all programs you mentioned are required high specifications of system unit.

Do a research for the 2 companies then you'll understand it.
