"UK authorities have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly launching DDoS attacks on online services like Google, Skype, and Pokemon, but also for selling malware online.
Alex Bessell, 21, from Aigburth, a suburb of Liverpool, was arraigned in a Birmingham court today, after police officers arrested him earlier in September, this year.

Bessell faces eleven different charges for a variety of crimes, according to British media .
Bessell stands accused of infecting over 9,000 computers with malware, creating a botnet, and using it to launch DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks that targeted Google, Skype, and Pokemon servers.

If this wasn't enough, UK authorities say he also designed a crypter — software that's often used by malware authors to disguise their code and evade anti-virus detection.
Authorities did not reveal the name of the crypter Bessel designed but said he also operated the AioBuy portal, a website that allowed people to sell various products online.

The service was often used by other malware authors to sell their goods using real money or via Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Investigators believe Bessell made over $700,000 from operating the service. He stands accused of money laundering because of his role in AioBuy.

Authorities have also accused the supposed häçker of s†éáling passwords from over 750 users, which he intended to use for online fraud. Bessel also faces two charges of impairing the operation of a computer following his häçking sprees.

Last but not least, Bessell faces cocaine possession charges, as officers found the substance in his possession when he was arrested earlier in September."
