First in the Forbes list is the SM mogul, Henry Sy, 90, who has been unbeatable for eight straight years, with $14.4 Billion.
According to Forbes, “The country’s richest man is even richer as the value of his publicly traded conglomerates, SM Investments and SM Prime Holdings, have increased by 17 percent and 20 percent, respectively over the past year.”

Meanwhile, John Gokongwei Jr. of the JG Summit group landed in 2nd place with an estimated net worth of $5.5 billion.
Gokongwei companies have interests in food and beverage, real estate, airline, banking and petrochemicals which brought forth more profit as he rocketed from the fifth spot to second.
In the third place is Andrew Tan with a net worth of $4.5 billion; with Lucio Tan of LT Group Inc. following on fourth slot with $4.3 billion.
Fifth place is Enrique Razon Jr., of Container Terminal Services Inc. and Bloomberry Resorts Corp., an integrated gaming operator, who has an estimated net worth of $4.1 billion.
George Ty, on the sixth place, has an estimated net worth of $4 billion. Ty is the behind the success of GT Capital Holdings known for its banking, power generation, real estate, car manufacturing and distribution and bancassurance.
Seventh place is the Aboitiz family with an estimated fortune of $3.6 billion coming from their power and banking businesses while Jaime Zobel de Ayala came on eight with an estimated $3.5 billion; David Consunji is on the ninth, with an estimated net worth of $3.2 billion.
