On May 26, warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force and the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out airstrikes on ISIS’s areas of influence in Syria’s central region.

Syrian warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on hideouts of ISIS cells in the outskirts of the town of Uqayribat in the eastern Hama countryside, while Russian warplanes targeted caves and dens where terrorists of the group had been taking shelter near the town of al-Resafa in the southern countryside of Raqqa.

While losses in the ranks of ISIS cells were reported, the exact results of the Syrian and Russian airstrikes are yet to be revealed.
