New Star Wars Rebels, New Arc @ Disney Channel
Let's start by discussing S01E01 : A Spark of Rebellion
Timeline set between Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith (2005 movie) & Star Wars IV: A New Hope (1977 movie), this were the early days of rebellion against the Galactic Empire and Darth Vader. Remaining Jedis went into reclusion and hiding after the Order 66 done by the Clone Army under Emperor Palpatine's order. Years later a ragtag rebels led by Kanan Jarrus (one of the young Jedis who survived Order 66 in secret), Hera Syndulla (Twilek pìrâ†é pilot of Ghost), Zeb Orrelios (a Lasat rebel who's race was saved by the Wookies), Sabine Wren (Mandalorian armory wizard) and Chopper (C1-10P droid) was operating, s†éáling and defying the Empire to help others due to the harsh governance of the Galactic group. While operating in the planet Lothal, they met a young Force-sensitve street-smart boy, Ezra Bridger. which in the long run helped the crew rescuing some Wookies being sold at a slave factory....
Spoilers & Trivia: Obi Wan Kenobi is seen giving a message to the remaining Jedis in hiding through Holocrons (device which can be opened only by Force-sensitive individuals). The logo of the the New Republic might have been inspired by Sabine's trademark painting depicting a rising phoenix. In this episode we might be seeing a cuddly, cute young wookie named Chewbacca whom was a the partner of Han Solo and a close trusted friend of Luke Skywalker.
