Very welcome move by Smart.

Problema lang, required yung Philippine cellphone number para sa checkout. Huli naming uwi before COVID pa and matagal ng expired yung Philippine SIM namin.

got this kanina lang, I'm using google pixel 6. salamat dual sim na HAHAHHA

How’s the checkout process? Pwede bang wala sa iyo yung cellphone number na gagamitin for checkout since sa email naman papadala QR code? Baka gamitin ko kasi, cellphone number ng pinsan ko.

Any phone ba yan or yung supported lang ng esim?

Yung may eSIM support lang. I think konti lang yung phones na meron and usually high end models. Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, etc.

Ang iPhone, since 2018 supported na ang eSIM. The iPhone Xr - 12, pSIM+eSIM lang yung supported dual SIM mode. The iPhone SE3, 13 series and newer, pwedeng naka-dual eSIM (dual SIM, dual standby). US model ng iPhone 14 and 15 series, eSIM lang ang supported, wala ng Nano SIM slot.

Based sa help page nila for the Traveler eSIM, parang mas hassle ang magiging implementation ng Globe for their regular Globe prepaid eSIM.

Can I purchase an eSIM for someone else?

The eSIM must be purchased and downloaded in the same device it will be used in.

Yeah.

0962 661-xxxx yung nakuha namin.

Traveler esim kase yan sa foreigners
Pang masa yung irerelease sa end of the month.

Actually, hindi pa rin available yung Traveler eSIM sa tingin ko.

I've been checking Globe's webpage for eSIM news and bago lang yung Traveler eSIM support article and T&Cs. Wala pang actual webpage for the Traveler eSIM, lumabas lang siya sa search. I think they're just preparing the support articles now for the eventual release.

According to Globe's press release, the regular Globe prepaid eSIM will be released via GlobeOne app so I think the same limitation will probably apply. I believe ang magiging pagkakaiba lang ay yung available promos and siyempre wala ng automatic 30-day SIM expiration unlike the Traveler eSIM.

I'm hoping na katulad sila ng Smart na QR code lang and madaling i-transfer yung eSIM. Considering that their postpaid eSIMs are one-time use only though, I'm lowering my expectations.

Relax wag masyado mag overthink 🤣

This is a lot better move by smart..
Since nirelease nila 'yung eSIM for prepaid naging revolutionary yung demand sa market to the point na hino-hoard na ng ibang sellers 'yung stocks para lang makabenta for either double or tripple the amount. Grabeng gahaman. And this move by smart may now eliminate the greed of all those individuals na tinake advantage masyado yung paghohoard ng eSIMs.
