When two people with the same account are found to be in different locations, the streaming service's new system requires them to verify their devices with a 4-digit verification code. Netflix will verify this by sending a link to the primary account holder's email or phone number, which will then take them to a page asking for a verification code.
If you miss the deadline by more than 15 minutes, the code will be invalid. After the code's expiration date has passed, a new one can be requested. Conversely, if two users' devices are sharing an internet connection, verification with the code is unnecessary.
