LECCIO MP3
This is a traditional song only sang during the Lenten season by the Ilocano people of the Philippines, Particularly in the Ilocos region. The language of the song is in the dialect of Ilocano and not the well known Tagalog dialect.
This song is reflecting the agony of Mother Mary during the Passion of Jesus Christ. This song is meant to help Catholics truly reflect and repent during the time of Lent and to prepare ourselves for the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This can also be done as a form of fasting, taking time to sing the passages in the early morning, during holy week.
Let us truly take this time during this Lenten season to reflect and repent and renew our relationship with our Lord. As we prepare for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and the promise of our saviour, let us do our part as humble followers, anointed to spread the word of our Lord. God bless you all!
