Im using galaxy j7 prime. May i ask if we will also get update from marsmallow to nougate in this phone? I believe some countries already have the update a couple months ago.. Then why still there is no update from J7 Prime. we buy these model from the time it was launch in the philippines.
I hope we can get feedback on these...

Before proceeding, kindly note that all user data is preserved after a software upgrade. However, we recommend you back up the data before performing said upgrade. Please also take into consideration that doing a software upgrade will require your device to have a 50% battery life, strong and stable internet connection and at least 1GB available memory space on the internal storage. For backing up files, we recommend utilizing the Samsung Smart Switch application:

To address your initial concern, please be informed that Google transmits software update globally, however, filtered by the specific Samsung subsidiary for each country or region to ensure safety precautions and compatibility with the locally released devices. The release of updates and the roll outs are being handled by Google; from what we have observed, the updates are cascaded per region and by batches. However, as to the schedules, we apologize as we have no access or visibility.
Kindly also note that we do not recommend updating the software if the mobile device is not within the manufacturing country or region, as this may cause software issues. Also, software update will incur charges for mobile data connection.
You may opt to keep the automatic update on your phone activated for you to be notified once update is already available for installation. Please see if the following steps are possible:
1. Tap Menu on the home screen
2. Find and tap on Settings
3. Tap on About device or About phone
4. Tap on Software Update
5. Mark Auto update with a green check
