Hamas was vengeful on Israel as some of its muslim brothers were about to normalize a diplomatic and economic relation with Israel. They blamed Israel for their misfortune. Instead of wasting the resources that the U.N. has been given to them, instead of building rockets, they should have invested it to boost their economy. They could offer something that would benifit the people of Gaza like agrculture or tourism.

Iran is the sworn enemy of Israel so as long as there are muslims willing to die for their ideology Iran will keep on supplying funds and arms to maintain a destabilized region in and around Israel.
I think this time hamas will lose a lot of sympathizers from palestinians as they are now suffering terribly as a direct consequence of what hamas did.

Before the Hamas attacked the Israel, Saudi is about to normalize a relation with Israel. It was on the news. Hamas was trying to prevent it from happening and it seems they were succesful as Saudi became hostile after the Israel retaliate to Hamas.

Quite the opposite. Hamas managed to get a lot of sympathy not only in arab community but even from western countries. The human shield strategy that they imployed is really working as the international community blamed the Israel about the hospital bombing without analysing why there was no crater in the aftermath of the bombing. Also, the world has forgotten who draw the first blood and how many people that this terrorist group has massacred and how many innocent babies that the Hamas had beheaded.
