GNU IceCat is a Firefox fork that is more private and secure than Firefox and has several privacy protection features.
IceCat does not make any unwanted connections when it runs.

Privacy Protection Features
LibreJS:
The goal of GNU LibreJS is to solve the JavaScript problem described in Richard Stallman's article The JavaScript Trap.
JShelter:
Reduces potential JavaScript threats including fingerprinting, tracking, and data collection. Changes the results of API calls slightly across domains so that cross-site fingerprinting is not consistent. It applies security countermeasures that are unlikely to break web pages. Allows fine-grained control of restrictions and countermeasures applied to each domain.
Fingerprinting Countermeasures: Fingerprinting is a set of techniques that allow a browser to be uniquely identified based on the specific characteristics of that particular instance (such as the fonts present on that device).
