Hi Guys,

I just want to share my knowledge on how to set bridged port in Huawei EG8245H5.

1. Backup existing configuration
> Go to Advanced > Maintenance Diagnosis > Configuration File Management.
> Click on Download Configuration File and save the XML file that will be generated.

2. Unassociated LAN port/s from routed ports
> Go to Advanced > WAN.
> Click on "2_INTERNET_R_VID_10" (the VID 10 and connection entry number may vary depending on area).
> At "Binding Options:", uncheck a LAN port (don't unbind them all at the same time to avoid risk of losing management access to ONU).
> Click apply.

3. Create bridge port configuration
> Go to Advanced > WAN.
> Click on New.
> Under "WAN Mode:", select "Bridge WAN".
> For "VLAN ID:", copy the same VLAN ID used in the "2_INTERNET_R_VID_10". In my case, my VLAN is 10.
> For other parameters
>> Enable WAN checked
>> Encapsulation Mode IPoE
>> Protocol Type: IPv4 (can be changed in case Converge rolls out IPv6)
>> Enable VLAN checked
>> 802.1p stuff are left as is
>> Multicast VLAN ID left as is
> In "Binding Options:", check the LAN port you previously unassociated in "2_INTERNET_R_VID_10". In my configuration, I unchecked the LAN4 port in "2_INTERNET_R_VID_10", and checked it here for the bridge port.
> Click Apply.

4. Disable ONU DHCP
> Go to Advanced > LAN > DHCP Server
> Under Primary Address Pool, uncheck "Enable Primary DHCP Server:". If there's a secondary DHCP server configured in the ONU as well, uncheck that also.
> Click Apply.

5. Verifying new WAN Configuration
> In Advanced > WAN, there should be a new connection entry. In my case it's "3_INTERNET_B_VID_10".
> VLAN IDs should be the same for the route WAN connection and bridge WAN connection.
> Connect a device, set as DHCP, to the LAN port configured for the bridge from step 3.
> Device should be able to get an IP address from Converge.

6. Save and backup new configuration
> Go to Advanced > Maintenance Diagnosis > Configuration File Management.
> Under "Save Configurations and Reset", click on the Save button.
> Click on Download Configuration File. Preferably save the new backup config file under a new name/different directory so as not to override the backup file done in step 1.

Miscellaneous:
  • Set either the ONU LAN IP or the routing device of your choice in separate private IP subnets.
  • For accessing ONU web management behind bridged port:
-- One option is to set the routing device WAN interface-facing IP to within the same subnet as ONU LAN IPs.
-- Another is to create a sub-interface for the WAN facing interface of your routing device and do NAT masquerading or SNAT rule when the destination is ONU LAN IP.

other modem ni converge wala pa ako idea pero mag popost din ako new thread.
ingat us .

Pwede po ba kayong magbigay ng example how to setup this?

Same issue yata tayo lods.

Connect as static mo lang yung celpon mo. Ilagay mo yung IP address na nireserve mo tapos yung Router IP 192.168.100.1

Dinisable ko yung WLAN at DHCP nung Converge eh. Anyway, okay naman na po, boss. Salamat. :)
