Bali balak kong mag-upgrade ng rig ko.
Ang current na set-up ko ay:

  1. Motherboard: Gigabyte F2A55M-DS2 (Fm2 socket)
  2. Processor: A6-5400K (dual core)
  3. RAM: 8GB Hyper X Fury + 4 GB na Kingston din kaso hindi hyper X Fury
  4. Graphics Card: PowerColor HD 5570 2gb ddr3
  5. HDD: 1 Tb Seagate
  6. DVD Rom + Stock PSU
Balak ko syang i-upgrade sa:
  1. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3HP (Fm2+)
  2. Processor: A10-7850K (Quad core)
  3. RAM: 2X 8GB Hyper X Fury
  4. Graphics Card: [MSI GTX 970. Ano pa po ba pwede? Baka kasi magbottleneck e.]
  5. HDD: 2 Tb Seagate/ 3 Terra Seagate
  6. DVD Rom + Stock PSU

PS. Panggaming sana at panggraphics sir e

Also kaylangan mo rin nang malaking TrueRated power supply, maybe 600w up at bilhin mo yung seasonic matibay yun.

Buy a video card that wont get obsolete easily in lets say 4-5 years, it will be a bit costly but worth it in the long run.
1. 8gb "video card memory" is a must, especially if someday you can spend some cash on 4k gaming monitor. This is also good in VR (virtual reality gaming)
2. SLI vs TI: either setup are good and you can actually have both.
3. AMD vs NVIDIA: Check out the new amd cards out there, for me they have the best price per performance rating. But if cash is not a problem then choose nvidia.
4. Liqiud cooled vs air cooled: its no brainer, liquid cooler is better. But kung gipit then choose the best fan out there.

Note: If you might want to upgrade your cpu later (core i9) check if your motherboard is compatible. But for me the latest amd processor will do the trick as they are claimed to be made for gaming.

Good luck.

most games don't support multi-threading, only top AAA games like battlefield 3 and up uses the power of 4 cores. But for productivity like rendering 3d designs and video rendering mas mapapabilis sya.

I agree, for now games are less demanding with respect to the cards they are required to run. But in another 5 years where new games are being built with the support of directx 12 and the new development api for vulkan (im excited for this) games will be a bit of a challenge to run if you aim at a descent performance or if not better.

It all depends on the user if he's a casual or hardcore gamer. But nonetheless a better spec is still encouraged at the end of the day.
