Five Things to Know About Spotify HiFi

Artists and fans have told us that sound quality is important to them. We agree, and that’s why today at Stream On we announced Spotify HiFi.

Beginning later this year, ρrémíùm subscribers in select markets will be able to upgrade their sound quality to Spotify HiFi and listen to their favorite songs the way artists intended.

Read on for five things you need to know about our new high-quality music experience:

• High-quality music streaming is consistently one of the most requested new features by our users.
• Spotify HiFi will deliver music in CD-quality, lossless audio format to your device and Spotify Connect-enabled speakers, which means fans will be able to experience more depth and clarity while enjoying their favorite tracks.
• Ubiquity is at the core of everything we do at Spotify, and we’re working with some of the world’s biggest speaker manufacturers to make Spotify HiFi accessible to as many fans as possible through Spotify Connect.
• HiFi will be coupled with Spotify’s seamless user experience, building on our commitment to make sure users can listen to the music they love in the way they want to enjoy it.
• Spotify HiFi will begin rolling out in select markets later this year, and we will have more details to share soon.

For me #1 sound quality ang pag uusapan una sakin qobuz or tidal, why? try to compare the sound quality ng qobuz at tidal to spotify (same standard quality on both streaming flatform) noticable na mas louder yung sound ng tidal at qobuz, idk know kung anong magic ang meron dun, kaya siguro mas mahal ang pricing ng tidal at qobuz? idk . #2 for plans naman may MQA yung tidal at qobuz which is good for audiophiles, pero soon siguro sa spotify magpartner din sila to MQA, cons lang talaga ng tidal at qobuz mas lamang si spotify sa library kasi mas hype ang spotify

Qobuz>Tidal with MQA>Spotify yan rate nyan mas maganda parin yung qobuz rip kasi may 96-192khz yung music nila like tidal gumagana lang yung MQA sa mismong app kaya másáráp pakinggan sa tenga yung sound.

Kapag gusto talaga ng magandang sound quality kailangan mag invest hahahha. HiFi Speaker, headset or IEM tapos kung gusto mo ng higher bits invest in good quality DAC. May mga portable DACs na rin o kung may budget upgrade to DAPs. Maraming budget Chinese brand na good quality rin para sa mga entry level audiophile equipment, it boils down nalang talaga sa kung anong preferred mong music kasi di naman madedeny na mas malaki kung music library ng Spotify compare dun sa dalawa. Ang maganda kasi sa Tidal and Qobuz curated yung music library nila and yung option nga na MQA at higher bit rate (nakadepende pa rin sa device yung limitation ng sound)
