Help Differentiate Work external and Work internal in collapse mechanism

The tangent of a very small angle approaches the value of the angle in radians. This can be seen by using the definition of the tangent function:

tan(x) = sin(x) / cos(x)

As the angle x becomes very small, sin(x) approaches x and cos(x) approaches 1. Therefore, the tangent of a very small angle x is approximately equal to x divided by 1, which is just x.

In terms of radians, this means that the tangent of a very small angle in radians is approximately equal to that angle in radians. For example, if the angle is measured in radians and is very small, like 0.001 radians, then its tangent is approximately equal to 0.001.
