Write an informal proposal for the stated problems.

San Jose College (SJC) is under company rehabilitation which means that the school is in the brink of bankruptcy. During the rehabilitation, SJC in under the supervision of a judicial court through the three-member management committee. Take the role of the management committee of the school in this scenario. Currently the only source of income for the operations of the school is the fees of the students. Despite the disheartening plight of the school, the teacher demanded at least a 12% increase in salary. They said any amount less than that will be unacceptable and will drive them to resign en masse. The action of the teacher seemed understandable because they have not received any salary increase for the last three years. You decided to increase the tuition fee of the students but the parents and student leaders vehemently objected to the increase. They threatened that if the tuition fee will be increased, the parents will pull out their children from the school. You have set a meeting with both parties but it failed. How would you solve the problem?

Dear Teachers, Parents, and Students,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. As the management committee of San Jose College (SJC), we understand and empathize with the challenges that we are currently facing. We acknowledge the difficult financial situation of the school and the sincere demands of the teachers, as well as the concerns raised by the parents and student leaders regarding the proposed tuition fee increase.

First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude to the teachers for their dedication to the institution and their commitment to providing quality education to our students, even during these trying times. We understand that a salary increase is long overdue and we are fully aware of the impact that the lack of such an increase can have on their livelihoods.

To address this issue, we propose a phased approach to the salary increase. While we acknowledge the demand for a 12% increase, it may not be feasible for the school to provide such a substantial raise at this moment. However, we are committed to ensuring that the teachers receive a fair and reasonable increase in their salaries. We suggest implementing a 6% increase this year, with a further review and consideration for additional raises in the subsequent years. This approach will help mitigate the financial strain on the school while still providing some relief to the teachers.

Now, turning to the concerns raised by the parents and student leaders regarding the proposed tuition fee increase. We understand that any increase in tuition fees can create a burden on families, especially during these uncertain economic times. In light of this, we are exploring alternative solutions to generate additional revenue for the school without solely relying on increasing the tuition fees for students. We are open to suggestions and welcome any innovative ideas that can help us overcome this financial crisis.

One possible solution is to seek partnerships or collaborations with local businesses, organizations, or even other educational institutions, to create mutually beneficial relationships that can provide financial support to SJC. By exploring such partnerships, we can reduce the burden on students and parents while still ensuring the sustainability of the school.

Additionally, we encourage parents and student leaders to actively participate in fundraising initiatives that can supplement the school's income. We can organize events, campaigns, and involve the wider community to support SJC. This collective effort will not only alleviate the financial strain but also foster a sense of community and ownership among stakeholders.

In conclusion, we understand the gravity of the challenges that SJC is currently facing, and we assure you that we are doing everything in our power to find a balanced and sustainable solution. We value the input and concerns of all parties involved and strongly believe that through open dialogue, collaboration, and compromise, we can overcome these obstacles together.

We look forward to further discussions and brainstorming sessions to find the best possible solutions for the benefit of the entire SJC community. Let us work together to ensure the continuation of quality education and a brighter future for our students.

Warm regards,

The Management Committee of San Jose College (SJC)
