how to install???

  1. Download and install You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now. for your operating system
  2. Download an image file from the You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now. section that matches the architecture you want to use for Batocera (x86_64 for most PCs, other devices usually have their own specific image)
  3. Extract batocera-(version)-(arch)-(date).img.gz (gz is like zip, it's a compressed file)

    Warning : some browsers like Opera/Chrome/Safari take the liberty to unzip the file by themselves and poorly rename them. If the file is more than 1GB, it is already unzipped. If your download fails, use another browser.
  4. *********** storage device (USB key, SD Card, MicroSD Card... )on your computer - we recommend to use at least a 16GB storage media, and more if you intend to store your games and data on the same device.
  5. Select the image and the drive in You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now. like on the following screenshot and click on Flash!

  6. Once finished, go on your storage device and check that it contains a boot folder (files differ depending on architectures)

  7. Shut down your computer and *********** USB drive/SD card/hard-drive into the machine you want to boot with Batocera and turn it on (ensure your device will boot into the USB drive/SD card/hard-drive by default).
