In order to make compositions more compelling and accessible you must to consider the following elements;
Line
Creating a sense of flow for the viewer through leading lines both literal and implied.They direct the viewer's eye into and along a photo to the focal point and impact the mood of a photo, depending on the type of line and how it is used.
Color
Using a collection of colors, or an absence of color, to create impact and mood,thus affects everything from composition and visual appeal to the viewer's attention and emotions
Shape
Highlighting objects in a two-dimensional way, such as through the use of silhouette.It create contrast between the subject and their environment.
Form
Giving depth to an image by implying dimensionality through light and shadow thus create images with depth and what I like to think of as touchability.
Texture
Depicting the way a surface may feel through shadow and light. It is used to bring a photo to life, to make it feel more three dimensional and interesting .
Tone
Suggesting an overall feeling through brightness or darkness in an image.Learning to control the tones in your composition is a key skill in designing effective photographs
Space
Selectively filling the frame or leaving empty areas for impact.The Rule of Space in Photography Leads the Eye of the Viewer.
As humans, we tend to look at the eyes of the subject first and then in the direction the eyes are pointed.It gives us the ability to lead the eyes of the viewer around the image in a very specific way.They also impact the emotional feel of a photo either in a positive or crowded composition.
