Why I don't like globe as an ISP? Here's why. (Based on my experience)

Here's speed test without VPN:

Upload is higher. Download is lower. Which is utterly BS.
When pinging google.com it has frequent RTOs (request time out) without connecting to the VPN.

Cloudflare Warp VPN to the rescue!

See the speed differences. Don't mind online games rating.
Ping is now stable. Still there are some time that the ping will go RTO.

Notes:
This is school's internet connection. Even teachers are complaining with the school's slow as Turtle Globe Fiber connection.
Maraming teachers ang nag rereklamo sa bagal ng internet ng school. By the way, the school's internet plan was Biz Fiber 1GBPS plan! Feels like 1MBPS for me and the rest of my co-employees. Good news is the school will switch to Converge Fiber X and the school will terminate Globe Fiber as our ISP. We still don't have tentative date when we will switch to Fiber X.

Kaya lilipat kami sa Infinivan kahit mahal at mababa ang bandwith compared sa globe atleast wala kaming kahati sa connection pure speed talaga matatanggap namin.

ICT din ako ng school lods. Kasi yung linya ng Globe ay residential kahit 1GBPS pa Plan mo at Globe Business pa. Yan din plan namin sa school. Siya pinaka mura sa lahat 9499 lang binabayaran ng school namin every month at first nakaka 900mbps pa speedtest ko (yung ako lang nakaka connect sa internet) ngayon 700mbps nalang ata. Ang sabi kasi ng nag 3rd party installer ng Wifi sa amin yung fiber cabinet kasi ng Globe at PLDT residential kumbaga nakikihati lang tayo. Kung LAN connection pa parang naka network switch angpeg. Kaya lilipat kami sa Infinivan kahit mahal at mababa ang bandwith compared sa globe atleast wala kaming kahati sa connection pure speed talaga matatanggap namin. BTW naka account management connection namin at solong Globe lang ang connection. Yung PLDT namin since 100mbps lang bandwith nilaan ko nalang sa Accounting office at sa amin sa ICT office. Kasi di pwede mahina connection ng accounting baka delay din sweldo namin hahaha. Ang problema ko sa Globe namin madali siyang mag fluctuate, may factor na din yung mga outdoor wifi namin since 2.4G lang band niya. Pero ang sabi sa amin ng 3rd party installer same naman daw rin kami ng router sa mga hotels na clients nila wala naman daw problema sa internet pero yung mga ISPs nila ay same sa mga ISPs sa mga Call center tinignan ko ang mga Plan dios ko ang mahal kaya tiis2x nalang sa Globe. Buti nalang pumayag admin nami na kumuha ng Infinivan kahit 30k monthly niya at 300mbps buti nalang naintindihan niya explanation ko.

kaso hindi ako ang nagmmanage ng internet namin at im not an ict personnel samin.

it really depends on the area. never had really problem with mine, sa 4years less than 10x lang ngka problema connection ko and less than 24hrs lng every issues.

Ma-proseso yan, as far as I know. Kung under kayo ng DepEd, dadaan pa ata yan sa D.O. niyo. Pag SUC naman, kelangan pa ng BOR approval.
Eto ang alam ko proseso sa gov't since by procurement ang means diyan, lalo kung through bidding ang naging process.

Yan ang pangit, knowing dumaan sa bidding, lowest price kadalasan. Alam mo na, kung hindi may kapit sa bidding committee.
