Interviewer: As a final point, Governor, let’s talk about the information coming out from Isabela, because many were surprised when images coming from Isabela and Cagayan Provinces started coming out last Friday, you said that somehow, you were not able to prepare for the extent of the damage brought by the typhoon Ulysses. But in terms of information, did information from the situation in Isabela,
was information properly transmitted to the National Government, let’s say to the national media for us to get the sense of what was happening there, because many were surprised, a lot of us didn’t know that that was the extent of the devastation in Isabela, when others are focused on other provinces.
Interviewee: Yes, but how would we do that? The flood waters were rampaging. And we couldn’t get any information, helicopters cannot fly, so how can we inform you guys during those times of calamity .
Interviewer: You didn’t have any line of communication with the NDRRMC at least because we have regional offices there?
Interviewee: No, the NDRRM(C) was not aware of the situation. Everybody was overwhelmed (unintelligible… could also be ‘You have to understand, Christian’) Everybody was overwhelmed because this calamity, it happened -- the last time it happened was in 1978, so our helicopter was flying only after Saturday lang, so we had to give images to the media, Saturday nalang. You cannot do it kasi night time nangyari eh, night time, tapos umaga, in the morning flooded na talaga, umaakyat na yung tubig,
yung mga highways were cut off, everybody was cut off here, everyone going in and to Cagayan and Isabela, na-cut off na sila, so how can we give you such information? Sana kung meron kayong crews dito, yung crews nga nung ibang station, pinalipad ko pa para tingnan yung rampage dito sa Isabela and Cagayan, part of Tuguegarao, kasi nasa boundary kami ng Cagayan and Tuguegarao, and actually Christian --

Alam nyo naman yung nangyari diba, Governor? You’re asking, ‘sana may crew dyan’, I suppose you were referring to ABS-CBN, eh hindi binigay yung franchise, so naisara yung regional stations, so papano mako-cover yung nangyayare dyan?

Laughing Yeah, yeah, I know, ang bibilis nga ng, anong tawag neto, ng response ng ABS-CBN, even your crews din no, na-overwhelm din yon I’m sure, lahat naman ng stations dito, na-overwhelm din sila no. Kasi yung GoPro na binigay ko sa mga media, after na yan eh, after na yan eh. Alam mo Chistian, let’s talk of solutions nalang dito sa problem (unintelligible) kung paano nangyare, that’s in the past na, kelangan may concrete solution na tayo, or studies na dapat gawin para di na maulit ito pa, or kung maulit manito, ma-mitigate na natin. Sana, konti nalang, ano.

Ayun, based sa question ni Interviewer, I don't think the Governor was tricked into saying that
nakalimutan lang yata nyang ABS-CBN din si ANC.
